Dear all
It doesn’t seem so long ago that I was asking you all to sign postcards containing a petition for funding for a new-build QEH, which I took to parliament along with other campaigners from West Norfolk. Well now the funding has finally been agreed and allocated, but there is uncertainty ahead.
You may have seen in the news that there is concern about the Queen Elizabeth Hospital being rebuilt with a reduced specification vis a vis its current form. Prof Lesley Dwyer, Chair of the three-hospital group which is managing the new build project, has said that a review led by clinicians is underway and that no decisions have been taken yet re what services will remain at the QEH and what (if any) will be moved to the NNUH or other sites.
I think this is a crucial time for interested members of the public to get involved and have their say.
If you wish to follow developments and be part of the conversation regarding any proposed upcoming changes to services, you can sign up to become a member of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital foundation trust.
Membership is free. Find out more or join online at: https://members.qehkl.nhs.uk/
